Ask AvlexVoice mode

Ask a question using voice input

Voice input lets you dictate a question. The app sends the final recognised text automatically. Use the ordinary text field if you want to check or edit your question before sending it.

Dictate a question

The microphone control transcribes your speech into the question field.

  1. Open Ask Avlex.

  2. Choose the microphone control Voice input on the right side of the question field, if shown.

  3. Allow microphone access when your browser asks.

  4. Speak clearly. Listening … indicates that recognition is running.

  5. Once recognition produces a final result, the text is sent without another confirmation.

  6. Read the answer and check its sources as you would for a typed question.

While recognition is running, choose Type to return to the text field. Stop also ends voice input. Neither action withdraws a result that has already been sent automatically.

Listen to an answer

Choose the speaker control Read aloud below an answer, if the control is shown. Reading aloud is a separate action. Dictating a question does not guarantee that the answer will be read out automatically.

Availability depends on your browser, device and installed voices. If the microphone control is missing, type your question. If access is blocked, check the site’s microphone permission in your browser. If the app reports a playback error, read the written answer.

Spoken questions and answers have the same evidence limits. Include only the details needed for your question.
